With regards to the page you have created Leeds United A.F.C. Chairmen. I don't know whether you already knew this but the category Category:Chairmen of Leeds United AFC exists and has a bigger list than the one you have created (although lacking dates). I wondered, if you agreed, if I could nominate the page for deletion and move the table on the page to the category and then link to the category page on the main leeds page, it would make more sense in my opinion for such a small amount of info. Information on the individuals reigns as chairman of Leeds could then be stored on their own pages. Let me know what you think. --Chappy84 17:26, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please respond, if you check my talk page I discussed major Leeds United additions/alterations with other users before making the alterations. Also see here, Bill Fotherby was a chairman of Leeds United. Chappy84 18:21, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, will do in future! Just regarding Alastair Mackenzie, he is credited as 'Alastair Mackenzie' on the show, so any references to him on Wikipedia regarding MOTG, I have put as 'Alastair Mackenzie' - User:t1v37r 20:48, 12 January 2007 (GMT)
Yep, I noticed the piped links. I'd redirected the MacKenzie article back to Mackenzie, probably not the done way, but there it is. - Dudesleeper 00:49, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Transfer Section on Leeds United

[edit]

I know there has been a transfer section in previous summers on the Leeds United page but unfortunately they're not considered encyclopaedic or part of football articles that reach featured article status so I've removed it. Chappy84 20:47, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just thought I'd let you know. I've reverted your edit to the above as Eddie Lewis has infact been voted fans player of the year, not club player of the year and this list is club player of the year. ChappyTC17:30, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

apologies, arfter searching through the the leeds web-site for last years player of the year it turns out the fans do pick it. - http://www.leedsunited.com/page/NewsroomDetail/0,,10273~901227,00.html , thought fans picked theirs and the club picked another. anyway i've re-added your edit, and apologies for the mix-up.ChappyTC20:14, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Dracocrabbegoylepansy.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dracocrabbegoylepansy.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 02:35, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Denied, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi, I just thought I'd let you know I've removed the trialists section on the Leeds page. This is because they're never actually on the clubs books as a registered player during the trial period and as such are never part of club statistics therefore there isn't really a need for them to be mentioned in the article, even if we subsequently sign a few after eventually coming out of administration. Chappy TC 07:55, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I was just wondering why you updated the date on the squad to the 15th from the 13th when you removed the erroneous text? The last time the squad changed was on the 13th hence this should really be the date that is shown until any further transfers/signings occur. Chappy TC 09:05, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Leeds United 2007-08 season

[edit]

Hi, as a regular editor of the Leeds United wikipedia page, I just wanted to ask your advice on a matter. I found this page on FC Barcelona's 2007-08 season and was thinking of creating similiar page for Leeds? I can see no reason not to if other teams can have them, despite I suppose us being a team in a lower league although we definitely have the number of supporters that a Premier League or La Liga team would! t1v37r 19:23, 31 July 2007 (GMT)

Hi, erm yeah, These pages do keep on cropping up. The problem with them is that people start them with the intentions of keeping them up-to date but in the end they stay un-finished. There are a whole series of articles for each county cricket side for the 2005 season (see Yorkshire's Here) however the person whom created these didn't feel the inkling to create one's for the 2006 or 2007 seasons. There is a wiki-project dedicated to Football and football articles and the consensus on there was to advise against them due to the fact that most remain un-finished and in a few years they won't be really required or read by users. I would however on the positive side say that they are informative articles. people looking back may want to find this information out, I would just say that if you do want to create this article make sure you are dedicated to it as especially since we are a division two side now few if any people will be with you in providing frequent edits (with more editors than not probably just editing to add vandalism if their team beats us). I myself try to keep the main page and history page up-to date with major events and, although impossible to balance the information, in proportion as much as possible to previous decades. I've been, meaning to increase the amount of information on the revie era, as a lot of information is available on fan sites, but I have never got round to it. Also although unlikely that we won't, its not certain that we'll have a 2007-08 season at the moment so if you are going to create this article it might be an idea to hang of just until we're given that all important golden share back (which I'm begging we are, even though we're so ill prepared I think it may result in yet another relegation battle). Sorry if all that's a little negative against the creation it's just personal opinion from seeing previous similar aricles lagg behind and become beyond the point where it requires a reasonable amount of effort to get back up-to date. Chappy TC 20:20, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Right okay I get what you're saying. I may make a start in the next few days and put it up once we get the share (fingers crossed!!!). Cheers for the advice. t1v37r 21:51, 31 July 2007 (GMT)
In theory it's a great idea, though it may be harder in practise. Nonetheless, should you decide to go ahead I'm more than happy to give you a hand in reverting vandalism and keeping it up to date. MOT Kaboooz LUFC TC 22:43, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you're going to create the code and then move it if we get the share then just create it as a sub-page of your user page, i.e. at User:T1v37r/Leeds United A.F.C. 2007-08 season. will make it easier for you rather than saving the code on your own P.C. That way you can do all you would be able to with a normal page. p.s. Happy Yorkshire Day Chappy TC 11:57, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Quick note on the Squad Information you have on your 2007-08 page. Some of the players you have as coming in for a Free I seem to remember coming in for at-least nominal fees. We definately paid weldstone and barnet for beckford and kandol (think they were both under £100k each), douglas' page states that he moved for an undisclosed fee (and is referenced so you can use that reference). Also try to link to the actual page and not re-directs. The Eddie Lewis link goes to a disambiguation page, and links such as Leeds United should at-least use the Template:afc or Template:fc links, try to check the name of the page the club is under and then use the appropriate template. Also just a note on nationalities, I'd use the Template:citeweb for atleast richardson playing for scotland internationally as some may question it since scotland is not mentioned on his wikipedia page. Chappy TC 12:16, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers for the advice, Chappy84. I have sorted out the Lewis link... I checked Douglas/Beckford/Kandol (how could we pay money for him!?!?!) and confirmed they are undisclosed fees. All now corrected. Richardson... I'm sure he is Scottish, despite being in Rotherham, will try find a reference on the net somewhere. Will try and correct as many of the re-directs as I can, same with the the template:afc for Leeds United... any other advice at all? as much as possible would be welcome!!! One question, do you have any idea how to access the template regarding EU players? And also do you have any clue about the English rules for EU players - I don't myself... Regarding new stuff on the page, I obviously can't do the kit cos we don't have any sponsors or have a clue what the new kit is gonna be like. I'm gonna have a go at putting in the info about competitive matches sometime in the near future, then go on to Squad Stats. T1v37r, 2 August 2007, 15:41 GMT
The english rules on EU players will most probably be the general EU laws on employment within the european union, i.e. if you're a citizen of a member state you can work in any other member state, outside the european union I think the rule is you have to have played in 75% of your countries A class matches to get a work permit. As for the EU player template, not quite sure what this is. One of [1] these might be it but if not try asking on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football, someone on there should be able to help you. Regarding the kit, sponsors won't change it as wikipedia can't sanction the use of sponsor images on examples of kits and any on wikipedia will be removed. As for the kit designs, we're still using last seasons at the mo so just use the ones from the main page until the club releases new designs , if they are even in the process of doing so. Chappy TC 14:59, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Try looking at all the season links from the Boro template Template:Middlesbrough_F.C.. They may help. Chappy TC 12:09, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Now this page has become a proper article, you may want to consider a Speedy_deletion of User:T1v37r/Leeds United A.F.C. 2007-08 season. As it's under your user page it qualifies for speedy deletion if you request it. Chappy TC 17:30, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers, yep have just done so. Thanks. T1v37r, 10 August 2007, 18:59 GMT

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Dumbledoreharris1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:56, 10 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 17:56, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Dumbledoreharris1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Dumbledoreharris1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 17:56, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New columns in Fb templates

[edit]

Hi, I just like to tell you that new columns could be add to any template. But, in order to not interfere in other articles that use the same templates and do not want to use it, new columns could be optional, like the Scorers column. If you have a need for a new column and do not fill comfort changing the templates yourself, please discuss it in the template's talk page. New columns and changes could be useful for other articles. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Thank you. Videmus Omnia Talk 05:21, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Transfer fee column sorting

[edit]
The column is sort as a text, not as a value. "." comes before letters, so "1.5m" comes before "1m". My immediately solution is when one player uses ".", all other should also use. I already did the change.--ClaudioMB 03:57, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Squad limitation in England

[edit]
About squad limit note, here the template Template:Fb pl ENG 2007. I placed that note wondering if there is such limitation in England like in Spain (25 players). I forgot to place a question on the Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football. If there isn't such thing in England, the note could be erased.--ClaudioMB 04:11, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the advice ClaudioMB, have edited the template saying "Squad size is unlimited". As far I know, the squad can be as small or large as the club wants. --t1v37r 08:28, 28 August 2007 (GMT)

If possible can you try to use Cite web when creating references. I have altered the references you created on Filipe da Costa and Gylfi Einarsson to use cite web so if you need examples of how to use them see these pages or the ultiple used on the main Leeds United A.F.C. or Leeds United A.F.C. Leeds Reserve Players

[edit]

Hi T1v37r. Unfortunately due to notability requirements the three articles (Duane Grace, Stefan Connor, and Andrew Milne) you have created for the Leeds reserve team aren't allowed on Wikipedia and are going to have to be nominated for deletion. If you nominate these for speedy deletion then we will avoid an AfD discussion, however otherwise they will go through one and due to no appearances in a fully professional league (this excludes youth and reserve leagues) they do not fullfill the requirements for notability on WP:Football. Chappy God's Own Country TC 11:58, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chappy84. Okay, that's fine. Just a question though, there are numerous other player pages of players who have not played for the senior team. Eg, Jonathan Lund, Simon Madden, Gavin Rothery etc, how come they haven't been deleted? Is it cos they are have signed pro deals? Ross Wilkinson hasn't signed a pro deal or played pro footy...? T1v37r, 24 September 2007, 13:28 GMT
The reason is simply that people haven't nominated them for AfD's yet, they should have been. Also some people re-create the page after its deleteion as a result of an AfD, as they feel the player requires a page. It's unfortunately a never ending battle to keep only notable articles on wikipedia. Chappy God's Own Country TC 14:25, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Amanda MacLeish

[edit]

An editor has nominated Amanda MacLeish, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Amanda MacLeish and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 03:44, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Danny Rose, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Thank you for uploading Image:PCCallumMcIntyre.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:15, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
