"Just Don't Give a Fuck" single
[edit]There are two different "Just Don't Give a Fuck" singles: one for the Slim Shady EP, and one for The Slim Shady LP.
The first single was released as a 12" by Web on December 10, 1997.[1] This features the original version of "Just Don't Give a Fuck" and includes "Low Down, Dirty" and "Just The Two of Us" as b-sides. This is the only single from the Slim Shady EP.
The second single was released as a cassette, CD maxi, and 12" by Aftermath and Interscope on October 13, 1998.[2] This features an updated version of "Just Don't Give a Fuck" (with a different instrumental and the word "raped" censored) and includes "Brain Damage" as a b-side. This is the first single from The Slim Shady LP.

Goal to get all song their own articles
[edit]I would like to see all of the songs in the tracklisting get their own article. Well make a project out of it.
Glitch removal challenge
[edit]i have experienced a glitch i have described in response to section below titled "radio edit." in short, there are words that look misspelled on various wikipedia pages, but when i try to fix them, the error is not present in the edit box (ie in the edit section he passage reads correctly before i edit it). there is an example of this kind of gitch in the article for this album.
the unfixabe error is in a section dedicated the the 'public service announcement.'
would someone please solve this puzzle and leave me a description of the solution at ((User:Antip8ri8)). thanx —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Antip8ri8 (talk • contribs) 02:42, 6 December 2006 (UTC).
"My Name Is"
[edit]I've heard a slightly different version of "My Name Is" with several changed lines for the english teacher and extra terrestrials parts. Does anyone know where this cut of the song was taken from?
- the only one that's "fully uneditted" is on the Internet. the guy they sampled for the beat wouldn't let them use it if they kept the lyrics, so they were changed in the explicit version. 134.69.166.157 08:14, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Radio Edit
[edit]The radio version of "My Name Is..." is a bit different from the album version.
Lyrics:

82.34.28.254 20:54, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Just to let you know, I removed the bit that said that My Name Is sampled AC/DC's "Back In Black". i've just listened to the AC/DC song and there's no way any of it was sampled on My Name Is.
- i have heard a rare internet version of My Name Is that does use the unmistakable Back in Black guitar riff... not worth noting in the article though.
i also have two sperate topics of discussion.
- this article could be sooo much better if reformatted to resemble modern encyclopediaec content (which it absolutely does not). it is horribly biased (beloved?... Lots of people really hated it... i mean protests in the streets, man... wheres the mention of that hoobaloo?) let's hit the social impact...right?...im not off base am i?
- anyway, secondly, what is the deal (ive encountered this in three seperate places on wikipedia) with spelling errors that only present themseles in the article? ie. when you go to fix them, they arent there in the 'edit space?' im very confused about it. one good example is in this article (i'm sorry, i forget where / or im just trying to make your dull life worth living) and another is on my userpage. on my page the unfixable error is in the word "experience" if i remember correctly. if anyone knows anything about this drop a line for me there.
thanx, User:antip8ri8 (no tilde avail.) /time:dark... cold... maybe december.
Update: the glitch on my user site has been deleted, but i found the better example right here on this one: in the section "public service announcement" the word service appears to be spelled 'serveice' but when i tried to fix it, there was nothing to fix. (that seems difficult to understand) so may i put a challenge out there ... see top of this talk page.

Orphaned references in The Slim Shady LP
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of The Slim Shady LP's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 14:11, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
- I addressed this, at least in part, in my edit here. The bio cited in Eminem and pasted here (well, mostly) appears to have been changed; it appears to have been re-written by Stephen Erlewine and the current version at AllMusic makes no mention of Kid Rock, so that bit fails to verify. Anybody who has another source (or who can confidently edit that claim out of the text) is welcome to go for it. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 15:03, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

I feel that the track by track listing is too individual and detailed - It often specifies every detail in a song as opposed to summarising it. It needs to be more impartial. It comes off as a fan eulogising about the album. Cunny 19:25, 17 December 2006 (UTC) |

Unexplained changes to opening sentence
[edit]I've noticed various IPs keep changing the opening sentence in the lead from:
- "The Slim Shady LP is the second studio album and the major-label debut by American rapper Eminem."
to:"
- The Slim Shady LP is the second and major-label debut studio album by American rapper Eminem."
with no explanation or edit summary provided. These changes don't seem to be improvements. They make that sentence harder to follow. Could you please stop doing this or at least explain your rationale for these changes on talk page. Thanks--DynaGirl (talk) 18:04, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
Major-label debut
[edit]I think it's significant that this LP is Eminem's major-label debut, and glancing over the edit history, it looks like something to this effect has been in lead for at least 2 years. I don't get why this information is being removed. I restored that this LP is major-label debut to lead. --DynaGirl (talk) 03:37, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

"Sample" use of
[edit]Using sample for all these references is very confusing because it sounds like they use a portion of a song without licensing, a portion of a song influenced another, etc. but if the source says sample then I guess it should say sample but maybe bracket clarifications can better represent what is hoped to be the meaning.2605:E000:9143:7000:3832:5234:5BA4:7DB6 (talk) 16:21, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
